| Full Description: At Cricklade any differences with regard to the source of the Thames must come to an end, as both branches unite their forces a short distance below the plank bridge, known as Hatchets Bridge. This is the highest part of the river which is ever reached by boats, though Thames Tourists rarely push their explorations as high as this. It is the limit of the Thames Conservancy. (There are two well preserved specimens of Fourth Century Crosses and two Churches) |
